Whats a good Blackberry? And can you get it on pay as you go?

So i’m looking in to getting a new phone. Ive been looking at blackberry’s (there are so many). But ive put it down to the Blackberry bold (9000?) BlackBerry Curve (8330?) or maybe the new storm but not sure on touch phones. I just wanted to know what they are like? and can you get them on pay as you go?? im an o2 customer. Also I have seen some with Swarovski rhinestones on them How does this work? can you buy covers like this for it or do you have to send it off to get done. Would be good if you could change the cover so you don’t always have to have the Swarovski rhinestones on it. Also how much are these phones? I know they are not cheap! Thank you for looking

My husband and other family members have the Curve and while most of them like it, my husband does not much care for his. I think his main issue is how squeezed together the keyboard is (the buttons are rather small and VERY close together). I have a Sidekick 08 and he has actually been trying to trade me, but I say NO WAY! I have messed around with his and don’t like it as much as my phone. I have heard that the newer Blackberry (8900, maybe) is MUCH better. I don’t know if the keyboard has improved, but I think just about everything else has.

My mother in law has the Storm and it took her a while to get adjusted to it, but I guess it’s just whether or not you like a touch screen or not.

My advice is to go to a store and try them out (even if it isn’t with your service provider. You can go to T-Mobile or anywhere else that carries the Blackberry and use the working displays to get a feel for it. Everyone feels differently about different phones. I was dead set on getting a BB, but upon trying one out, decided it wasn’t for me. But then, I know people who could not live without their Blackberry, it’s all a matter of opinion.

As far as rhinestone covers, you can either send them off to have them put on, or you can buy premade snap on covers. I think that letscrystalit.com has the best looking covers but they run about 150 dollars. You can look on Ebay or do a google search and find some that are cheaper, but they look cheaper as well.

The price of the phone depends on your plan. If you sign a contract, you can typically knock a hundred dollars or even more off the retail cost. As far as pay as you go, you usually pay full retail price, or close to it, so you are looking at spending around 300 dollars and up for a Blackberry on a “pay as you go” type plan. I don’t know about your particular carrier, but you can visit their website and it should let you know.
