The exact origin of the breed of dog known as the beagle is unknown but it is thought that this sturdy breed descended from a blend of various English hunting dogs. They become very lonely and distressed when left for long periods of time. Beagles come in various colors (and all are accepted in competition by the AKC) but they are most often represented in the tri-colored shades of black/white/tan. A yearly bath and occasional dry shampoo is enough to keep these small dogs clean. Grooming your beagle can include everything from brushing his fur to trimming his toes and even eyelashes.

Sometimes it’s the best thing. In the right weather, a fresh shave feels great to your pet.
This means, to be aware of the needs of a pet-dog as opposed to a robotic relationship with a toy one and work to build a bond between self and the dog so as to have a happy, hassle-free four-legged companion in fair and foul weather, Monday blues notwithstanding. For, dogs are the most forgiving of companions a man can hope to have, and the advantages of owning a silky terrier pet dog are many! Brushing your Golden Retriever regularly will help prevent shedding (especially important if you have allergies) and matting of his fur. Grooming should be done at least once, preferably twice, ever week.
