How do I supply my caterpiller with water?Can I give it water in a coke cottle cap or what do I need to do?
I have caught a caterpiller in my yard today and it is brown,black, and a gold color.I have put it in an old hermit crab box of mine that has air holes at the top.I have placed many fresh green leaves and some twigs in there to make it feel at home.The only problem is is that I dont know how to supply its water.Hurry and please answer before my caterpiller dies!!!
Caterpillars get water from the fresh leaves. However, they might like the leaves when they have dew on them, so maybe spray or sprinkle water on the leaves in the morning. Just be careful about using any spray bottles that have previously held soap or cleaning compounds – it might not take much to kill a caterpillar.
