How to become an illustrator?
I want to become a book illustrator. I am 11 years old yet very mature and I have great artwork. I would love to be an illustrator for famous children books. I have learned how to take time and to add more detail to anything I draw, and how to blend colors. If you have heard of “reflections”, I have won in everything I entered. I am creative and think outside of the box. I am in math team, and S.P.A.C.E. class. I love art class, and try to pay attention well. I have been disciplined for squashing the paint brush’s head right down on the paper, and have trained myself not to. I drew a picture of Taylor Lautner starred in Twilight series as Jacob Black, and my mother said it was so realistic. Please help me! It has been my dream to be an illustrator ever since I can remember! What do I need to do and where do I need to go?
You know how people want to lose weight but hate to exercise?
That’s how it is in drawing too. Everybody wants to draw well but doesn’t want to do the work.
1. Be the artist that does the work and you will excel.
2. Draw from life, people, buildings, animals.
3. Try to draw what you see, not what you want to see.
4. Draw everyday if you can.
