Black Halter Dress With Rhinestones
Should I wear this to a wedding?
Hello All & Good Morning!
I am going to my Uncle’s wedding and my sister is loaning me a dress to wear to it. This dress is very classy and dressy, but I don’t know if the colors are appropriate. It is solid black with a champange colored bow going around it. On the front of the bow, there is a circle with rhinestones going around it. It has a pettycoat going around the bottom underneath to make the dress look full. It goes to my knees and is halter. Tell me. Is this appropriate?
Honest to goodness… there is NO PROBLEM wearing black to a wedding. I don’t know what rock some of these people are living under. I have seen many people wear their “little black dress” to a wedding. As long as the fit is flattering. And if the church is not ultra strict and conservative, a halter style is fine, if it is appropriate for the weather! Good grief! Halter too sexy? Have they SEEN wedding gowns? They come in halter, strapless, spaghetti straps. If it’s not tight and short, with a low cut v neck, it’s probably NOT “too sexy”. It sounds like it might even be a former bridesmaid’s dress.
If it fits well and looks good on you, wear it with pride and confidence.
